In addition to diagnosing the Auria or Harmony sound processor’s microphone or T-MicTM function, the Listening Check can also verify that your child’s processor is receiving proper input from an FM receiver, via the iConnectTM Adapter, as well as receiving a signal from consumer electronic devices, such as MP3 players, via the Direct ConnectTM Earhook and Cable. So you can rest assured that your child is hearing voices, music, and all the other sounds that make the world of hearing so vibrant.
Portable & Easy to Use
The compact and lightweight Harmony Listening Check can easily go anywhere your child does: to school, daycare, sporting events, etc. And it’s battery operated, so you or your child’s teacher or guardian can test the sound processor right then and there on location, without the need to search for an electrical outlet or carry an extra power cord. It only takes a few simple steps to verify that your child’s equipment is functioning properly:
- Turn the Listening Check on
- Attach the device to be tested
- Connect the earbuds and insert into your ears
- Talk into the microphone or turn on the audio device (e.g. FM system, MP3 player)
- Verify you can hear the sound through the earbuds
