Why Patients Will Thank You for Choosing the HiRes™ Ultra 3D Implant

As a clinician, you want your patients to be able to easily receive access to medical care. And yet, patients with a cochlear implant have difficulty getting access to a MRI because of their implant, making life more difficult for them and for you.

The HiRes Ultra 3D implant is MRI compatible and can be safely used in any MRI scan without head bandaging or multi-magnet assembly removal. Since the multi-magnet assembly within the implant is designed to align to the MRI's magnetic field, MRIs are pain free for your cochlear implant patients. All they need to do is remove their processor and headpiece beforehand.

With the HiRes Ultra 3D, managing your patients becomes easier for you— while MRIs become hassle free and pain free for them. Most importantly, you’ll never have to choose between your patients getting access to the medical procedures they need and their access to hearing ever again.

A Child with a Cochlear Implant

“Children with hearing loss are all unique. Our patient had bilateral profound hearing loss and a benign cyst on one side. The AB Ultra 3D allowed us to provide cochlear implantation in the young critical language development ages, while at the same time, still be able to obtain MRI exams with easy to follow protocols.”
Dr. Sipp, MD, Pediatric Ear, Nose and Throat of Atlanta

A Geriatric Patient

“…A 81 year old patient…received a HiRes Ultra 3D cochlear implant on the right side. On the first postoperative day, the patient underwent a 3T MRI scan and a flat panel tomography. Through the entire investigation the patient did not report any pain or distress…regarding the implant, a specific headband was not used. After the MRI the correct position of the implant was verified by flat panel tomography.”
– Dr. Mittman, MD, Unfallkrankenhaus Berlin (UKB)

A Patient Needing Frequent MRIs:

“The radiology department took all the necessary precautions…but no additional steps, including the use of a head wrap, were required. The radiology report noted no complications and a slight artifact. The patient reported no discomfort of pain during or following the procedure…She would be completely comfortable to have another MRI completed in the future.”
– Alexandra L. O’Dell , AuD, University of Colorado Hospital Boulder Health Center
