Martin Mills is part of our Community and Support team. He studied at Aston University in Birmingham where he completed a BSc (Hons) in Audiology. He has previous NHS Audiology experience working with both adults and children. Martin was a Specialist Audiologist at a regional hearing implant programme until he joined AB in 2018 and has an interest in complex hearing losses and cochlear implants.

Your cochlear implant programming sessions will include the latest evidence based fitting and testing procedures to provide objective and measurable benefits. We strive to produce the best possible results for you.
To gain the most from your cochlear implant, rehabilitation therapy is essential . A rehabilitation care plan offers you a structured, individualised approach to using your cochlear implant and developing or re-learning listening and language skills.
Your care will start as soon as you are ready, we are not restricted by waiting times.
Appointment times are scheduled at times convenient to you and each session is tailored to your individual needs. Appointments take place in a relaxed atmosphere and each appointment can last up to two hours.
During the first year, you could expect to attend up to 8 audiological appointments including programming and progress assessments and up to 8 rehabilitation sessions.
AB offers a complete range of aftercare plans to provide exceptional levels of ongoing support.
You will be offered access to our Private Partnering Support Service; a service designed to give you peace of mind that all your AB accessories will be replaced in the fastest and most convenient way, if they develop a fault during and beyond their normal warranty periods.
